  • Oil for roasting the idilis

Method

Heat a flat bottom tawa. Grease it with oil. Spread the idili’s over it. Apply 1 or 2 drops of oil on top of the idilis as well as along the sides. Keep the flame low or medium.

Spread the idilis on a tawa

Allow it to roast for sometime. Once roasted flip over and roast the other side. Roast till golden brown in colour. As you roast a sweet aroma of methi leaves fills your kitchen.

Remove the idilis from the tawa.

Your Fenugreek leaves idili roast (Methiyae playa idili bhajjili) is ready to be served.

Serve warm with coconut chutney or you can even have it as such.

Tips
