Landyagudgya Sali ukkari (Breadfruit peel curry) (‘Seemachakka’ in Malayalam) I will be dealing with landyagudgya ukkari and also ukkari prepared from its peel (‘Sali’ in Konkani). This can be served as a side dish along with rice.
Landyagudgya Sali ukkari
Ingredients
You need
1 cup of Landyagudgya Sali (Use peels of mature one but not ripened) (Breadfruti peel) cut into thin long pieces
1 medium sized potato cut into thin long pieces
½ tspn chilli powder (Or as per your spiciness level)
Water as required
Salt to taste
Method
Preparing the veggies
Wash and remove the peel of the landya udgo and cut into thin 1 to 1 1/2 inch long pieces.
Peel wash and cut the potato into thin 1 to 1 1/2 inch long pieces.
Preparing the Landyagudgya Sali ukkari
Heat oil in a kadai/pan. Add mustard seeds and when they splutter add red chilli powder and mix well. Add landyagudgya sali and potato add water, salt, close the pan with a lid and let it cook. In between open the pan and stir the contents well. Cook until potatoes and peels get cooked.
Your Landyagudgya Sali ukkari is ready to be served.
Serve with rice as a side dish.

Now you have the landyagudgo (Breadfruit; ‘Seemachakka’ in Malayalam) left out. Take and remove the central portion and discard it. Cut it into thick long pieces.
Now heat oil in a kadai/pan. Add mustard seeds and when they splutter add red chilli powder and mix well. Add water, landyagudgo, salt and close the pan with a lid and let it cook. In between open the pan and stir the contents well. Cook until landyagudgo pieces get cooked.
Your Landyagudgya ukkari is ready to be served.
Serve with rice as a side dish.
